I Want To Join the Social Democrats, USA
Membership to the Social Democrats USA is open to those who are in substantial agreement with the principles of the Social Democrats USA as stated on the Social Democracy for the 21st century official web site.
Membership in certain organizations is automatically seen as being incompatible with membership within the SD ,USA. Persons excluded from membership include members in Marxist Leninist parties and organizations under a democratic centralist discipline; persons within organizations and parties which support the violent overthrow of the United State government or in organizations which espouse racism, sexism, or discrimination based on national origin, creed, or color. No members of cult like organizations which demand the complete loyalty of followers will be permitted entree into the Social Democrats USA.
Dues within the Social Democrats USA is divided into five categories. These are:
1) Regular single membership. The dues are $45.00 to be paid annually
2) Family membership. Dues for a family are $80.00 to be paid annually.
3) Student membership. The dues are $20.00 to be paid annually
4) Low income membership. Dues are $20.00 to be paid annually
5) Sustainer membership. These dues are at least $10.00 monthly or $120.00 annually.
Joining is done without entering your personal information into a computer at this time. Please enclose a check or money order written out to the
Social Democrats USA for the approximate category of membership and along with the completed application for membership within an envelope. Submit it to Social Democrats USA. P.O Box 16161 Pittsburgh, PA. 15242.
